Join us on this exciting trip which starts at our shop at Tillicum Bay Marina, where you will meet your friendly guide and receive some paddling tips. You will paddle up to Oyster Beach which passes the beautiful Lamb
Islets, home of one of Sechelt Nations ancient
pictogliphs. Then the group will paddle to Tuwanek Beach past a working Oyster farm, where you will stop and
swim and explore the water falls. You could even try your luck catching Red Snapper off of the rocks, or cliff jumping. Then a
leisurely
paddle back to Pedals & Paddles where you will say goodbye to some new friends, and start enjoying some very fond memories of a great day!
Bring your cameras, sunscreen, hat and water. We will be paddling by islands and mountains during this fun packed 3 hour trip. You will see the Caren Range to the West, home of the oldest trees in Canada, the Tetrahedren Plateau to the East, and nothing but protected waters for many kilometers to the North and South. Curious seals will pop up beside you, and chances are good you will see eagles
Kayaks and CamerasIf you love photography and want to see things from a different perspective come on kayaking with your camera. The adventure begins at the quaint Tillicum Bay Marina and minutes after take off you are in a pristine natural setting. Besides having a professional kayak guide to help you the basics of paddling safely and efficiently, you will have a photography guide while you explore. Rocks, eagles, seals, sea stars, earth, fire and water… these are some of the many images to photograph. Whether you have a new digital camera you are just getting to know or you are want to concentrate on composition, technique and lighting, the day will be geared to your level. Think of it as a private lesson in the great outdoors. Tella Sametz is a self taught photographer who has an eye for beauty and composition. She worked in a photo lab in San Francisco, taught photography on the Sunshine Coast and has her own photography business. She loves being in nature with other nature lovers. The cost is $175 per person (groups of 4 to 6 people) for a truly west coast experience eight hour day which includes the kayak guide, photographer and lessons, and all the kayak gear.

You are encouraged to register for guided trips as soon as possible, as there is limited space. To guarantee that day trips and lessons go ahead, they must be booked and paid for at least 2 days in advance. All multi-day guided trips must be booked and paid for 7 days prior to departure. A 75% refund is granted only if space is rebooked. Please call for last minute availability, as we may still have room for any or our trips. 5% GST and guide gratuities are not included in the price
Trips will go if raining, however may be cancelled due to very bad weather, and is at the discretion of the guide.
