& Paddles has been outfitting ocean kayak groups on Sechelt Inlet since
1991. We are located right on the water at the end of the road, 8 km north of
Sechelt on the east shore of Sechelt Inlet – the adventure starts here! We
offer excellent equipment and exceptional service, laminated maps of Sechelt
Inlet, certified guides (if required), beginner lessons, secure parking and a
wealth of other services designed to make your group trip safe, memorable and
enjoyable. And we are just 2 hours traveling time from downtown Vancouver.

Sechelt
Inlet is ideal for novice groups, offering protected waters, spectacular
scenery, abundant wildlife, and surprises around every corner. There are 9
wilderness marine parks (at no charge) equipped with tent-pads, outhouses, fire
rings and fresh mountain streams, or have your group paddle and stay at a
wilderness retreat lodge (www.birdpointretreat.com)
which is equipped with lodging, cooking facilities, bathrooms and showers.
Whether you take professional guides along is a choice you will have to
make based on your group leaders experience and your groups budget. We have
several qualified guides that
can accompany your group offering paddling lessons, first aid, navigation, and
usually some good stories to tell around the camp fire. However, several groups
opt to go out on their own, making sure there are enough experienced adults
along to keep the group safe.
